No, this is not taking place in Alaska. It is taking place from Colorado into South Dakota, including part of Northwestern Kansas and Nebraska. And it’s not just been going on this morning. This has been going on for a couple of days now. While people were trying to chase tornados in Texas and Oklahoma, a Blizzard Warning was taking place northwest of Kansas City. Check out this morning’s radar (taken at 8am).

Now, relax, none of this is currently heading for Kansas City … however … there is a chance of snow in the NWS forecast for this evening (Monday 8/24/24) into Tuesday morning. No accumulation is expected.
To the southeast, another chance of severe weather, so the professional chasers will be out trying to drum up more income from what will likely be not much of anything to watch on YouTube.
