With Tornado Watch #37 looming over the Kansas City area, the first of the severe thunderstorms arrived around 7:30. This storm was located near DeSoto Kansas and was is moving Northeast.
But while this storm produced a number of Thunderstorm Warnings, including one for Gladstone and north of the river saying that it was a dangerous thunderstorm, the only Tornado was out in central Kansas, west of Topeka. This storm was reported by Fire/EMS.
The above images is likely the debris being lifted into the air from the damage being caused by a Tornado.
