Severe Weather South and East of Kansas City

Tornado Watch #67 did not produce any severe weather for the Kansas City area this evening, and looking at radar, it appears that the storms that are to the southwest of Kansas City will run south and each of the Kansas City area.

Not saying that there weren’t any Tornados in the region. St Louis is believed to have had a Tornado in the southern area. There was a impressive radar indication of a Tornado outside of Wynona Oklahoma, which tracked through Bartlesville. Then there were some interesting radar in central and just west of St Louis.

The above screen captures are for Wynona Oklahoma. When you look at the images (click to enlarge), you will see an orange area in the green and red. Those are exceptionally intense shear winds. In the left image, the CC scan shows the debris ball from the Tornado.

The above was the convection forecast as of 11:28 Monday morning. All the information being discussed is stating that the entire threat will move to the east for Tuesday, April 2. As of the posting of this report, it appears that things will calm considerably in the Kansas City Area with storms running from Tulsa to St Louis.

And finally, the storms prediction for tomorrow. The bullseye is centered around Columbus Ohio for Tuesday, April 2nd. Most of the issues are being predicted for the Ohio River Valley, but discussions were shaking out that things would be less severe than previously expected earlier today.
